In the Conservatory, I asked to sit in on a couple of the Political Science classes of the Music Education degree programme and this article sums up what was discussed in class by the students:

Why is one intimidated by an 80 year old 34-count convicted felon criminal?

Does the world not remember that this authoritarian, this US dictator who occupies the white house is a 34-count convicted felon criminal and a “grab ’em by the pussy” (a quote from him) adjudicated sexual assaulter?  How is someone like that allowed in the white house?  The MAGA Cult Republican Congress and corrupt 6 fascists on the US Supreme Court seem to have completely forgotten all of that, or they choose to ignore it to support their messiah.

Much of the world is afraid of an unhealthy 80 year old — he’s technically 79 — bully criminal who has this “big and tough” act (which is all it is), a 34-count convicted felon?  Why on Earth is the world intimidated by some piece of trash like that to the extreme of bending the knee to him and kissing the ring?  Why?  No self respect?

He’s the Village Idiot.  He’s stupid.  He’s a chronic liar.  He lives in the 1930s-40s of Nazi Deutschland which he calls “The Golden Age.”  Is that why he has vomited gaudy and tacky gold all over the oval office?  Everywhere you look; it looks so pretentious.  And with him, everything is “fake new” or it’s “a hoax” or it’s “a witch hunt.”  It’s all about him and his planetary size ego. I’ve never seen someone so stuck on themself and he talks about how people supposedly love him and want him to have another term.   Well, the 6 corrupt fascists on the Supreme Court will make that so.  He only cares about himself.

So why would anyone be intimidated by someone like that and I’m directing this question at District of Columbia Mayor Bowser and world so-called “leaders” who constantly bow and scrap to him.  They have still not learned that such behaviour gets them no where because the lawless US dictator does what he wants to do, whether it’s legal or not or whether he bypasses Congress or violates judges and court orders.  There are no consequences.  He’s above the law.

As for DC mayor Bowser, she’s served as a doormat for the dictator to walk over from the start.  Clearly she’s on a power trip and doesn’t want the convicted felon criminal/dictator to fire her — she couldn’t get a job anywhere else? — so she has given him anything he has wanted from what I read, and doing so has gotten her nowhere the article said.  The dictator/the Republican Cult wanted the “Black Lives Matter” mural in the District painted over, so this Black woman mayor painted over it.  That tells me that she stands for nothing.  She has no principles.  She just spews neutral, “diplomatic” shit to appease the dictator.  Again, her being a doormat to him has gotten her nowhere the source I read said, which is the case with anyone else who eats his upper colon.  Bowser is really a Republican(-enabler) regardless of her party registration.  From what I’ve read about her in the past week from multiple sources, she has turned me off.  Fortunately, the people on the DC City Council are not like her.  It sounds like they see her for what she is:  An enabler of the dictator.

I realise the dictator behaves like a loose canon seeking constant drama and dysfunction, but he’s going to do what he wants no matter how much people eat his upper colon and rub his thigh and back slap him, trying to pretend they’re “old buddies.”  Why would anyone or any world “leaders” want to be buddies with a convicted felon criminal?  Don’t people have higher standards than that?   (Answer:  No they don’t).

So why do people continue to bend the knee and kiss the ring?

And why would people continue to disrespect themselves and their integrity, (if they have any), disrespect their honour and dignity by bowing and scraping to this despicable piece of fascist-nazi trash in the white house and the unqualified-for-their-job trash in his draconian MAGA regime?

The dictator goes on about, “The Enemy from Within.”  In reality, his regime is the Enemy from Within.  Rather than making the nation great (it already was before he showed up), he’s destroying it and the nation’s time-honoured institutions such as the Kennedy Center (which the Republican MAGA Cult want to rename after the dictator, removing Kennedy’s name), the Smithsonian, the nation’s prestigious universities, and the nation’s capital, the District of Columbia.

The Kennedy Center will always be the Kennedy Center as far as I’m concerned, and I will always refer to it as such.  After the Center is renamed, will the Concert Hall’s resident National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) continue to perform there?  (Probably, to bend the knee and kiss the ring like everybody else does).

I had suggested that the NSO relocate to either:  Washington National Cathedral, or The Music Center at Strathmore in Bethesda Maryland or the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center on the campus of the University of Maryland at College Park outside the District.  I should think that they (the NSO) should be able to work out a performance schedule with any of the three locations.  But I’m not hopeful that the NSO will move out of the Kennedy Center.  The same for The Washington National Opera, especially after the Republican MAGA Cult rename the Opera House for the convicted felon criminal’s and dictator’s wife.  I wasn’t aware that the woman had any interests in opera, music or the arts.  They never attended one performance at the Kennedy Center during his first term.  He said there was nothing there that they wanted to see.  That’s because neither of them have any interests in music or the performing arts.

Even the title of protests against the dictator/convicted criminal and his fascist regime are lame and bent over.  It’s as if the people who organise these protests don’t want to offend the dictator or his draconian regime whom they’re protesting so they use the most timid, mealy-mouthed and pathetic titles for their protests.  It’s as if they are afraid to tell it like it is.  With that attitude, why protest to begin with?
