I refuse to cater to stupid. Instead, I prefer to educate (the stupid) if that’s possible. If not, fuck them. They’re beyond help. I’ve learned that one cannot fix stupid.
On the two “progressive” political websites I visit, I’m sure they would tell me if I asked them, “What prompted you to start your website and what is your goal?” I think part of their answer would be: We’re there to educate people.
But they do that only to a degree. In other cases, they don’t try to educate their readers at all but instead they cater to stupid people and their stupidity or ignorance, such as their ignorance about geography in US.
Such as the case when they’re writing about the court system in the District of Columbia, the US nation’s capital city. Both sites I’m talking about are located in the District according to their website, my former home city.
The US education system leaves a lot to be desired considering many people’s ignorance of geography, and as of this writing the convicted felon and sexual “grab ’em by the pussy” predator just deleted the Department of Education, which is an insane decision — but consider the source since he likes people to be stupid like himself — so apparently the “progressives” don’t think anyone will know what the District of Columbia is or where it is. Therefore, do these sites educate their readers about the District of Columbia? No, instead they go so far as to rewrite the legal names of the courts in the District of Columbia — People: you don’t change the name of a court! — so these sites write in their articles, “a Washington DC court of appeals.” But that’s not the name of the court; it’s not the official name of the court. If they don’t think that their readers will know what District of Columbia is, why do they think their readers will know what “DC” means when they write “Washington DC?” Doh. Stupid. Or do they think most people would say, “Well, I know that those letters DC come after Washington but I don’t know what those letters mean.”
Then sometimes these sites will show the legal document they are referring to in their article but what they wrote in their article does not match what is on the pleading/legal document they’re also showing as part of the article. That is certainly confusing to some readers. The pleading reads: The District of Columbia Court of Appeals (that’s the Court’s official name, and not “Washington DC Appeals Court”). If the Court happens to see that, I suspect they would be annoyed as well.
But any time they write an article, they should be writing District of Columbia, but they notoriously write “Washington DC,” and as I have said many times: There is no Washington *in* DC. They are two names for the same place: the US nation’s capital.
So if it were really their intent to educate their readers as they claim, they would use the official name for the US nation’s capital and use that consistently in their effort to educate: with District of Columbia as shown on the pleading next to their article. And if stupid people don’t know what the District of Columbia is or where it is, fuck ’em. They’re hopeless anyway. That’s how I see it.
Interestingly though, when it comes to the convicted felon, sexual “grab ’em by the pussy” sexual predator, the world’s disruptor and international bully-child and Nazi in the US Kremlin at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, these “progressive” sites claim they can’t stand him yet they write his legal name in full with respect, giving him dignity and refer to him as “president” with a capital P which denotes respect. But again, when it comes to the courts, they don’t write the legal name of the court to give the court dignity or respect, with the US Supreme Court being an exception. I guess they think stupid people know what that is, no?
And the convicted felon and rapist is another example of stupid. He’s lived in the District for years and he still calls it “Washington DC.” The Village Idiot. Yet I’ve heard his staff refer say “Welcome to DC” which is correct and his staff apparently knows that one does not say “Washington DC” because that’s redundant.
The residents of the District know you don’t call “Washington DC” because there is no Washington *in* DC. Again, they are synonymous. They are two names for the same city. I know I’m being redundant, but there are so many thick and stupid people out there and I’m trying to educate them (and not cater to stupid), unlike the two “progressive” sites I’m thinking of. But the thick convicted felon and sexual predator hasn’t learned what to call the Federal District, the seat of the US government (what’s left of it after unelected president musk has broken it/destroyed it).
AI (Artificial Intelligence) brought this up for me: Legal names for the courts; I should pass this on to the “progressives” sites….yeah, what a waste of time that would be!:
