What I’m going to say in this article is never at all popular with the so-called “left” or so-called “liberals” or “progressives.” Most of whom are usually supporters of the corrupt, pro-war “Democratic” Party at election time. They don’t like hearing this because they live under illusions that their protests accomplish something, or that’s what they want to believe.

To be clear, the protests are purely symbolic. And I’ve watched as one world so-called “leader” has gotten in lockstep with and served as a cultist with unconditional support and devotion for Cult Israel who is seen as sacrosanct and above reproach by the US and other countries.

I learned years ago that protests against international wars are really an effort in futility. All of the wars I’ve protested during my life time have gone on as planned despite thousands or millions of us being in the streets worldwide. Our efforts accomplished nothing as far as having some bearing on corrupt politicians. This is especially true when one is protesting to empty buildings on weekends, as was the case for the protests I took part in on Saturdays or Sundays. Why were the protests not held during the week when the people we were protesting were in their offices? And thousands of protesters could bring the Financial District and or the City to a standstill? “Oh, but that would inconvenience people.” Well good. Then people might get a clue as to how “inconvenienced” the Palestinians are feeling about now due to Israel’s terrorist bombing of Gaza.

So-called “protests” in this day and age are state-sanctioned. By that, I mean they require a permit from the local government. Well then it’s not a genuine protest. If one has to get a permit from a government to have a protest then it’s not a protest but merely a feel-good charade and government-approved. And protesters aren’t going to inconvenience themselves and their employment — if they are employed — by protesting during the week and taking off from work when the people they’re protesting are in their offices. No, they protest on weekends when they have the luxury of doing so and when none of these corrupt political trash are around and they scream decades-old outdated chants at empty buildings. I’m just being realistic here, which most people will cringe at hearing. Especially the so-called “progressives.” Ugh. None of the protests I took part in accomplished a damn thing. Nothing. Nada. The wars went on as scheduled. The protesters efforts were merely therapeutic feel-good sessions for us all — we got some exercise and that’s about it — and were left with a feeling that we had done something. Oh we had done something but the targeted people didn’t hear us nor did they care what we thought.

As parts of the world protests the #2 terrorist nation on the planet (Israel), Israel continues to bomb Gaza harder and kill even more Palestinians. The war criminals of the Israeli government and its supporters and accomplices worldwide are absolutely the scum of the Earth. Absolute trash.

Upon reflection, the only positive thing about these protests is that if they’re large enough they are covered by the (corporate) media and viewers can see how many people worldwide support the Palestinian people and oppose Israel’s barbarism.
