At this point in time and even though it seems that most people want to believe there will be midterms, why does anyone assume that there will be midterm elections in the US or a presidential election in 2028 in the age of the ultra-right’s Project 2025 (see links below)?
My friend and I have been talking about this often whenever we read or hear someone refer to “midterms” and “2028 presidential election.” With the international bully, convicted felon and “grab ’em by the pussy” rapist residing in the US Kremlin (also known as the White House) and him already having issued at least one executive order regarding future elections — requirement: one must show proof of citizenship in order to vote and one can no longer vote by mail — it seems that most people continue to live under illusions or want to believe that there will be future elections in the United States of North America. Why would one believe that? Because they want to? Is this a case of denial on most people’s part? Why would one believe there will be midterm elections? There may be, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
Why? Because in a dictatorship with authoritarian rule, there is no need for elections.
The convicted felon uses executive orders to bypass Congress, so the House and Senate have essentially become irrelevant. He even ignores judges and the US Supreme Court rulings when he doesn’t agree with them and comes up with his own “interpretation” of their rulings, and gets away with it. He’s above the law.
Rather than “draining the swamp” as the convicted felon and sexual predator promised he would do, instead he’s created his own billionaire cesspool. These people are corrupt trash.
There may be a midterm and a presidential election in 2028, but I don’t assume there will be. Neither does my friend.
These nazi trash have no intention of going anywhere and there’s no one to make them leave. Arresting Democratic members of Congress? That’s already happened. This regime is already in the process of putting in place their Project 2025 and the goals of that won’t likely be fully in place by the time of what’s supposed to be midterms.
It’s as if most people think we’re living in ordinary times. We’re not.
It seems the people who think as I and my friend do are those people living outside the US and looking in. People living in other countries are saying they don’t see future elections taking place in the US, but they hope they are wrong, they say.
But people living in the US seem to think it’s “business as usual.” I don’t know where they get that from. Or do they think, “he wouldn’t do that!” Oh no?
Even if there are future elections, why would anyone think that they will be legitimate versus a charade to give the appearance of elections? And of course, president musk is still there, although not on camera. He hasn’t gone anywhere. The appearance is that he’s gone. He’s just less or not “public” now. Headline I read whilst writing this: “Musk looms over midterms.”
And if there are midterms, why would anyone think that anything will change from the way things are as of this writing? Especially when you have doormat Democrats who are furious that some Democrats want to impeach the convicted felon. With Democrats like that, one doesn’t need Republicans.
