Straights mocking “Pride.”

It should never have been changed to “Pride” because who goes around having pride in their sexuality, regardless of what it is? And if it’s about being “proud” of one’s accomplishments, many people/groups have many accomplishments to their name but they don’t have an entire month for jumping up and down in the streets celebrating those accomplishments.

The original event was called Gay Freedom Day & Festival — meaning freedom from discrimination, oppression and harassment — and that’s what it should have remained. But as usual, the corporate idiots who think they know what’s best for the queers of their same income bracket or higher and who hijacked the now-dead Gay and Lesbian Rights Movement and felt the need to change everything felt the need to change the name to “Pride,” like they have ruined nearly everything else since gay marriage became legal. What nut came up with this “Pride” shit?

And nearly every “Pride” month (June), there are some str8 guys who feel the need to mock gay “Pride” by having their own Heterosexual Pride Month rather than ignoring it as I try to do. The whole thing of “Pride” seems silly to me and they all look the same, cookie-cutter.

I got to thinking about this: If the event were still called Gay Freedom Day & Festival, that would be pretty hard to mock. I suppose some str8 bro could start a Straight Freedom Day and Festival, but it would be less likely for anyone to do that, I think.

So, the point is that the corporatists responsible for the Gay Agenda by changing the name to “Pride” really have made it easier for those who want to mock “Pride” to do so.

Do you have “pride” in your sexuality? Are you proud of your sexuality? (roll eyes). It is what it is, so, what’s there to be “proud” of and to have “pride” in?

I agree with what gavin said in his video about this, which you can watch here.

Merchants exploiting Pride….thought you might like to know about this if you don’t already. The Castro Merchants in San Francisco have decided to exploit Pride by having a “family friendly” (gag) Pride block party later in June with emphasis on SHOPPING or “hitting the stores” as they call it. They’re taking this opportunity of Pride to try to exploit and make some money off of Pride. Pretty low of them, IMO although I’m not surprised.
