I originally wrote the following:
The “No Kings” movement in the States is misnamed. It should be the “No Dictator, No Fascism” movement, as it’s known internationally. The “No Kings” language was a problem in countries with constitutional monarchies such as Canada and the UK, the alternate “No Dictators” or “No Tyrants” titles were favoured over “No Kings” to avoid confusion with anti-monarchic movements. The convicted felon criminal and adjudicated sexual assaulter is far more like a dictator or tyrant than any king that comes to mind for me. I’ve never see a fist-pumping “dancing” king. Unlike the convicted felon criminal, kings are stately, dignified and adult in their behaviour. Think King Charles III. He’s respectful, and is not an international bully and seems like a very nice guy. He also behaves like the opposite of the insane convicted felon criminal and adjudicated sexual “grab ’em by the pussy” assaulter who is a childish, thin-skinned, fist-pumping nut occupying the white house who needs constant praise and adoration. And he’s not happy unless he’s causing someone misery. A very sick and demented person. Does this redneck fascist dictator in the white house remind anyone of a stately king? Kings don’t wear blue suits with long red ties and a red baseball cap. (A major fashion blunder). Dictators; however, wear anything, like the redneck dictator in the white house. Kings are not bullies. Dictators are/can be bullies. Every day the dictator in the white house acts like and is the worst of dictators, most recently with his concentration camp in the Florida Everglades called “Allegator Alcatraz.” One of his sick “jokes” about the place was that inmates would have to learn to weave as they run to avoid being eaten by an alligator. But people should call it what it is: the concentration camp in the Everglades for migrants and US citizens, and not the sanitised name “Alligator Alcatraz.” Are you aware that ICE received the largest dollar amount in the new budget bill passed at USD$45 BILLION?
But to be certain about this I looked it up and fortunately AI confirmed that I’m correct about this. To me, it just made sense.
Unfortunately, apparently the organisers of the “No Kings” protests in the States have never looked this up which is why they’re using the wrong word (king) for their protests. I have seen pictures of their protests and some protesters do understand this and are using “No dictator” on their signs instead of “No kings” which is the wrong word.
Out of frustration I said to my friend: Have these people who organise this “No kings” nonsense never done the research I just did, which took about 5 seconds to do. They keep using the wrong word (king). “No kings” is not the correct word for fascism. The word “king” applies to a monarchy, which does not apply to this fascist regime.
My friend said that: The organisers of these misnamed “No Kings” protests are likely Democrats, and we all know how most Democrats are: mealy-mouthed, bent-over, weak, timid, afraid to offend anybody so they likely think that “No Kings” is a better choice — even though it does not apply here — because it’s much less offensive and tamer to delicate people. The protest organisers would likely say that “No dictator, no fascism” is “too harsh” and will turn people and the corporate media off even though that’s what they should be saying because that’s the reality of the situation. I said: And that’s exactly why we’re in the situation we’re in because of weak, mealy-mouthed people (useless Democrats) who refuse to tell it like it is in no uncertain terms. Fuck those who are offended by the truth. Call it what is: Fascism and a dictatorship with the 34-count convicted felon criminal and adjudicated sexual pervert assaulter as dictator with his 6 fascist enablers on the US Supreme Court giving him whatever he wants.
This regime is fascist, they’re installing fascism and that’s why they’re going after the anti-fascist people which they call “Antifa.” Stephen Miller said they will “dismantled Antifa” and they call “Antifa” an organisation, even though there is no such organisation. But these maga fascist trash never let truth or the facts get in their way.
By going after “Antifa” (the anti-fascist people), this regime is no longer hiding that they are fascist, and so are the 6 far-right fascists on the Supreme Court which give the dictator whatever he wants.
The following is from my recent research on this topic. I put in the search engine: “Fascism, king or dictator?:”
From AI:
Fascism is an ideology that advocates for a dictator. While some fascist movements have coexisted with a monarchy (as in Italy under King Victor Emmanuel III, where Benito Mussolini was the dictator in power), the actual governing power rests with the dictatorial leader who heads a single-party, totalitarian state.
- Rule by a Dictator: Power is centralized in a single, charismatic leader who makes all major decisions and is often the subject of a “cult of personality”.
- Totalitarianism: The state seeks total control over all aspects of society, including the economy, education, and culture, with no limits on its authority.
- Forcible Suppression of Opposition: Dissent, criticism, and political opposition are not permitted and are often met with violence, imprisonment, or execution.
- Extreme Nationalism: There is an intense focus on national unity and rebirth, often by appealing to national myths and using propaganda to portray the nation as superior to others.
- Militarism and Imperialism: Fascist states glorify the military and view war and expansion as a means of achieving national greatness and rejuvenation.
In short, a king (who typically inherits power and is often constrained by a constitution) does not fit the model of a fascist leader; a dictator (who seizes and maintains absolute power, often with popular support achieved through charisma and propaganda) is the central figure in a fascist system.
